Colleges to Know
Bard College https://www.bard.edu/
Named no. 4 on US News' Most Innovative Schools list, Bard College in upstate New York is known for its intellectual environment and a senior project that all students complete. Some houses and residence halls on Bard College's campus are themed around being "alcohol-free," "quiet," and "wellness" hubs, US News reports. Academics at Bard focus on giving students a strong scholarly foundation with their core curriculum, then encouraging them to explore individual academic interests. Bard Early College High Schools were the first and most innovative Dual Enrollment programs in the nation. Bard ECHS have long been a resource and guide for the RBC/RRHS DE program. We are forever thankful for their help.
Nordic Terrain Academy (NTA)
Somehow the reputation of our Rock Ridge students achievements have reached many different corners of the earth. NTA is typically open to students from private institutions in Europe that are IB focused. After hearing of our students NTA reached out to open enrollment to RRHS interested students. Based on student interest NTA provides a focused program for students in everything from AP Economics preparation to learning Japanese. NTA is an international summer camp designed for students aged 10-18 based in Stavanger, Norway. A balanced day at NTA includes academic lessons in the morning, adventure/leadership activities in the afternoon, and community building games in the evening. We are more than a summer school and more than an adventure camp. NTA is greater than the sum of its parts. We are an academy that focuses on building confident and empathic lifelong learners ready for university acceptance and success. For more information please use the links below. This was just an interesting summer option we wished to pass on.
