3rd-6th Graders Return to Campus!
We are thrilled to watch the PUSD Reopening Plan unfold in real time, and we are looking forward to welcoming the rest of our middle schoolers and high school students back when the County re-enters the Red Tier, expected to happen within a few weeks.
Pandemic Response Survey
When will middle and high school students go back to school?
On February 24, Superintendent Booker attended a briefing by Alameda County Health Officer Dr. Nicholas Moss who informed the County Superintendent's Council that Alameda County is likely to return to the Red Tier on March 9. If the County does, in fact, enter the Red Tier on March 9, 7th-12th graders will return to school the following week, as detailed in the PUSD Secondary Reopening Plan.

Question of the Week
Will PUSD Be Fully Open for the 2021-22 School Year?
A number of community members testified at the February 24 school board meeting on this topic and we appreciate hearing their perspectives. Superintendent Booker announced at the board meeting that the topic of fall re-opening will be on the Board agenda at an upcoming meeting soon, and at that time the Board will have an in-depth discussion detailing factors that are influencing the District's planning for fall.
