Santa Holiday Shop Opens Monday
Our Annual Holiday Shop opens Monday, December 7, in the Library Media Center. The Holiday Shop offers students the opportunity to purchase gifts for people on their holiday list at a very affordable price. A typical item at the Holiday Shop will range in price from $3.00-$5.00 but some can cost as little as $1.00 or as much as $15.00. Students are invited to bring money and a list of people they would like to buy for to school. The Holiday Shop will be open during school hours, but please contact your child's teacher to receive the exact time your child's class will be visiting.
Family members are welcome to join their child and shop together!
Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Students Taking the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI)
This week, all students began taking the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) assessment. The SRI is a research-based, adaptive reading assessment that measures reading skills beginning in Kindergarten. When a student completes the assessment, they receive a Foundational Reading Assessment (FRA) score or a Lexile. Most students in grades 2-4 will remember and be able to tell you their Lexile score. You are encouraged to reach out to your child's teacher to ask about your child's performance on the SRI and to inquire about their progress since the last time the test was taken.
These are the Ray-Pec 1st semester grade level equivalencies for FRA and Lexile scores:
Kindergarten: FRA 0-82
1st Grade: FRA 0-82
2nd Grade: Lexile 420-535
3rd Grade: Lexile 520-670
4th Grade: Lexile 740-840
