Counselor Chat

There are so many emotions that children and adults feel throughout the day. Being able to manage our emotions is a critical behavior for school. When we face challenges, we have to be mindful about which emotion activates a growth mindset and which emotion activates a fixed mindset.

The children's movie Inside/Out illustrates how complex managing emotions really is. This month at Pink, we will be focusing on emotions and how to manage our emotions at school during our Friday classroom meetings as well as during counselor guidance lessons.

Enjoy the clips below! They are great conversation starters for home.

Cyber Bullying Prevention Month

This month, we will be educating students on cyber bullying and ways to prevent cyber bullying from happening.

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Examples of cyberbullying include mean text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social networking sites, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.

There are many ways that you can prevent cyber bullying. Some include:

  • Being aware of what your kids are doing online
  • Establish technology rules
  • Being aware of school policies regarding technology at school

When cyberbullying happens, it is important to document and report the behavior so it can be addressed.

For the safety of our students during arrival and dismissal, please be mindful of our procedures listed below as well as our required traffic flow. We ask that you are courteous in following the school zone speed limit as we have noticed some unsafe driving.
