More than a school, we ARE a FAMILY!
Mission Statement
St. Anthony Catholic School celebrates each individual as a unique child of God, provides a safe, Christ-centered environment that promotes cultural diversity, academic achievement, and challenges each of us to serve the school, parish, and community.
St. Anthony Catholic School and Accreditation
As part of this program, we participate in a self-study which challenges us to constantly and continually improve the school using a consistent set of standards and benchmarks. The standards are divided into four domains: Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. You can learn more about the accreditation process here: https://www.eas-ed.org/accreditation-program
In a seven year cycle we have two different visits. April 7, 2022 we had a team of visitors with us to conduct our Third Year Review. This team our checked progress and observed in the classrooms. It was a great visit!.
Holy Week
Holy Week is a great time to Walk with Jesus, following his footsteps and answering God's call in our lives.
In the pdfs below you will find great family resources for Holy Week.
St. Anthony's Catholic Church and School have access to the Amen app. It is a wonderful spiritual tool filled with prayers, meditation and scripture for all ages.
Another great source is FORMED (https://formed.org/). This websites offers movies, programs, audio, and books free to you. It is a gift from St. Anthony Parish.
Pretzels-the snack of Lent?
The Family Engagement flyer (in English and Spanish) moves us into the final days of Lent. Families will enjoy learning about how the pretzel came to be a popular Lenten snack. Complete with a recipe, let your students’ families enjoy some together time in the kitchen while waiting for Easter Sunday.
A Call to Return to Mass
We have been attending Mass as a School Family, and it is wonderful to see the students sharing in the Mass. Our students have been greeters, ushers, altar servers, and readers. The students celebrate the opportunity to fully participate in Mass.
Effective Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, the obligation to participate in the Eucharist in person on Sundays and other holy days of obligation is restored.
Please see Bishop Noonan's Letter: Celebrate the New for more information.
Cereal Collection
Along with the act of giving that is so important for children to learn we will also be participating in some fun educational activities that will tie into the cereal boxes. The more boxes we have the better! Stay tuned to see what fantastic activity it is that we have planned.

Scholarships
It’s time for current Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) families to secure their student’s 2022-23 scholarship. (Applications for new families will become available shortly thereafter.)
As you know, the FTC, FES-EO and FES-UA programs are once-in, always-in meaning a student’s eligibility does not need to be determined each year, as long as the student remains on the scholarship.
Current FTC, FES-EO and FES-UA families should complete your student's “Intent to Continue” for the 2022-23 school year. Please be sure to send a copy of your award letter to school!
McKay families, you also need to watch your email.
