Principal's Message
Dear Lewistown Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am thrilled to be welcoming our young Tigers back to school! We have eagerly anticipated the full reopening of school with optimism and excitement!
One of the greatest characteristics of the Lewistown community is the genuine care and compassion shared between staff, students, and families. This is a place where we come together to ensure the success of our young Tigers! It is a true privilege to be a part of a community where families, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic success and social growth.
More information in the coming weeks will be shared via Find Out First (FOF) and our Lewistown TIGER Times. Your child will be receiving their Back to School Letter in the coming week. You'll find information regarding teacher assignments, school supply list, Open House, Transportation, and school hours. If you do not receive your child's letter by Tuesday, August 11th, please contact the front office.
We pride ourselves on the Lewistown Way and traditions. While we may look a little different, I am excited to welcome our students back 5 days a week! We have an amazing staff that is guided on the principle of doing what is best for students. We consider ourselves a family, and we are excited to welcome you and your student(s) into the Lewistown family.
Yours in education,
Ms. Belinda Fockler
Proud Principal of Lewistown Elementary School

Free and Reduced Meals Application
However, if you'd like, the application will be available ONLINE beginning Friday, June 30 at https://www.fcpsnutrition.com/
Please note that Friday OCTOBER 1 is the last day a student will qualify for free or reduced meals based on their meal benefits status from last school year.
ALL students will receive free meals again this school year due to continued USDA waivers. However, it is still important to submit applications because many programs within FCPS and the community depend on free and reduced-price meal status or percentage for their programs and incentives.
