Kinder Research
Kinder began their research into jobs in the community. They are using the Guided Inquiry Design framework to do their research. In February, they completed the Immerse stage to connect with the content and build background knowledge. The kinder students will be continuing their research in March.
Spring Book Fair
It's hard to believe, but we've had our final Book Fair for this school year. We are extremely grateful to all of our wonderful parent volunteers who worked so hard to make it such a success.
Makerspace Club
This month, the after school Makerspace Club tackled the 100 cup challenge. Each student and a partner were to attempt to build the tallest tower possible using all 100 cups. This was a great activity to build teamwork and spark creativity. After they were finished creating their towers, the teams were so excited to get to knock down their towers with the new rocket launchers they were given.
Two New Reading Challenges!
Two reading challenges were given to the students. The first one is a Spring Break reading challenge. Students are to read 15 minutes 15 times during the break and document it on the reading log. When the completed form is returned, students will get a backpack tag that states "READ" on it.
The second challenge is sponsored by Schlitterbahn. Students are to read 10 hours and return the completed form no later than April 27th. Students that complete the requirements will receive a free ticket to the park along with a family discount for their family.
