Any staff who has students during an intruder crisis will text your status once it is safe to do so. Below is the information you would texted:
- Your status: "Locked Down" or "Evacuated"
- Your current location: "in classroom", "on Tomahawk walking to LCC", "behind creek"
- Who you have with you or who is missing: Classroom teachers/Specials: If all the students who reported to school that day are with you , text "all present"
- If students are missing: text "missing" and the first and last name of the missing students.
- If you have extra kids with you: text "plus" and the fist and last name of the extra students.
- If you are support staff text the first and last name of the students you have.
You can send and receive messages on the Remind app or on your phone text messages.

We will try out this system when we do our intruder drills.
National School Counseling Week!
Science Fair
This year our school science fair will be Tuesday February 5th from 6-7:30. As in years past, we encourage any and all students to participate. If you would prefer to do a whole class project to enter that would be awesome as well. I have past students coming after school on Tuesday to judge.

Supporting Students with Challenging Behaviors
District FYI: Budget and Program Evaluation Committee
On December 10, 2018 the board of education approved the establishment of a board committee for Budget and Program Evaluation (BPEC).
Purpose
o The purpose of the committee, with board of education direction, will include participation in budget development, understanding the principles of sounds fiscal management of the school district and state finance formula, budget assumptions, limitations on various funds, and other relevant budget topics.
o The committee will review budget considerations proposed during the budget process, budget additions and or reductions, and provide the board of education with feedback on the impact of those budget considerations, to assist with the board in decision making and budget priorities.
o The committee will evaluate the spending of resources, current and proposed, on various programs forefficiency and effectiveness to ensure resources,
District FYI: Specials Committee
Specials Committee: This committee will be a solution-seeking team tasked with finding an effective and fair resolution to the 2019-2020 specials’ schedule. A brief outline will follow each Specials Committee meeting to communicate progress addressing the priority issues.
o The Specials Committee met for the first time on January 17th. The committee is comprised of 7 teachers, 7 administrators and 2 teachers representing the negotiations team.
o The team defined each priority issue ensuring a common understanding of the topic.
