Save the Date! Senior Scholarship Event May 19th 6:30 PM
As you may be aware, the deadline for Scituate Scholarship Foundation applications was extended and closed a few weeks ago. The Scituate Scholarship Committee held a virtual meeting along with staff members of Scituate High School. The committee followed their anonymous protocol and have selected recipients for scholarships! The foundation plans to give more than $65,000 dollars away to seniors this year!
School administration is in the process of developing a virtual scholarship ceremony to be released live on May 19th at 6:30 PM. All recipients of scholarship awards will be notified in the coming weeks and more information regarding the virtual event will come soon!
For students who have received scholarships outside of the foundation that the school may not be aware of, please be complete the survey that was released in the class google classroom so that everyone can be celebrated appropriately.

We Love our Seniors! 2020
Seniors and their families are encouraged to come outside, stay 6 feet away, take some pictures and say hello! Seniors will get their cap and gown, some departmental awards, a free sweatshirt, a lawn sign, and other great gifts! We are so looking forward to seeing you all!
Graduation Photo Shoot- Gazebo at North Scituate Elementary School: May 18th and May 20th Appointments
Seniors will be contacted by Mrs. Gallagher to make an appointment before Thursday, May 14th. Each senior should arrive to their appointment time early, wear their cap and gown, and remain in their vehicle until the designated time. Each senior will have ten minutes to record video segment. Gene Hutnak from H & I will also be there to take graduation photos. Each senior can bring two family members. We will not allow more than two family members to be part of the photos so that we can comply with social distancing rules.

RIHS and NHS seniors have received an email or google classroom notice inviting them to submit a photo for the RIHS and NHS Seniors slideshow. Many students have not responded. The deadline to send information is Monday, May 4, at 3 pm.
If you are a senior in NHS, please read the details on our google classroom wall.
If you are in RIHS, please send a photo.

Advanced Course Network Now Open for Registration
2020-2021 ACN registration opens Monday, May 4 and runs through Friday, May 29. Enrollment is first come, first served, and some courses do fill up quickly.

Virtual Take Down Tobacco email for principals to send to students, parents, and staff
We would like to invite everyone to participate in a #TakeDownTobacco Initiative between now and May 8th. The student with the most likes on their Instagram photo Tagged #ScituateTakesDownTobacco will win an Amazon gift card. Just print out the attached sign and fill in YOUR reason why you want to Take Down Tobacco. No printer? No problem! You can make your own sign or post that tells us why you want to Take Down Tobacco. Don’t forget to include the #ScituateTakesDownTobacco! There will be one student winner per town!
We welcome teachers, support staff, and administration to take part in the initiative as well, so I hope to see your photo! Though the prizes are only for students!
