Knightly News
Regency Place Elementary - Week of May 10 - 14
Dr. Mary Longloy, Acting Principal
April 30, 2021
Good evening Regency Knights,
Our students will be taking the STAAR test for Math, Reading, and Science for third, fourth, and fifth graders. The dates are listed below along with reminders for our students.
The end of the school year is filled with activities including necessary parent conferences such as promotion-retention and attendance committee meetings. If you are scheduled to have a meeting with the promotion-retention or attendance committee, I hope you are able to clear your schedule to attend the meeting.
The summer school flyers and registration forms were sent home. I continue to encourage you to take advantage of the summer school and KIN program being offered here at Regency Place this summer that is free of charge for your children. The programs will be fun and engaging for your children and help them fill gaps in their learning that most children experienced because of the pandemic.
Regency Place will also hold a 'Jumpstart PK-5 Program.' Flyers and information will be coming home soon.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!
Thank you,
Dr. Longloy

*NEW* Face Covering Guidelines
Face coverings help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by reducing droplets if the face covering is worn securely over the nose and mouth. According to the CDC, cloth face coverings offer some protection to you and are also meant to protect those around you, in case you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 and don’t have any symptoms. Certain types of face coverings are more effective than others. As of November 30, 2020, masks with valves will not be permitted for students or employees. Gaiters and bandanas will only be permitted for outdoor use.
If you have any questions, please contact Health Services. Click here for more information about the new guidelines.
