“On the surface Frank The Cat is a fun book with great illustrations, but at the core I think this is a book about identity and the phases we
all go through as we try to figure out our place in this crazy world. A story about a Cat is destined to become a classic...but then I am
a little biased:) Read and sing with the children!” -

“Music is a wonderful way for children to learn language, and an equally
powerful way for children to learn how to read. Not only are Angela Kelman's
sing-a-long books fun for the whole family, the rhyme, rhythm and repetition
allow children time to engage and enjoy the story. As Daniel Levitin says in
his book: “This is your brain on music”, music is an 'all brain activity' so sing
your stories and have fun learning to read!”

"Music + Literature = Reading Success! Take a catchy tune with
delightful lyrics, then add some dancing dinosaurs and you have
a wild and crazy party happening. Angela knows how to get
children of all ages singing, dancing and READING! The
fun vocabulary and rhythms make "Disco Dinosaurs" a
highly motivating literacy tool."

“I love Funky Monkey's jungle beat, it makes me want to have my own jungle
band. I would be the drum guy.”

"Frank The Cat"
Frank is an adorable little cat who likes to
behave like a dog. The other cats don’t quite know
what to think of that, but Frank goes on his merry way
just being who he is. This is a delightful story/song about
recognizing differences, tolerance and acceptance…

Bio
After 30 odd years in the music business (and some more odd than others), Angela Kelman has an impressive list of accomplishments. In 1989 she graduated with honours from the vocal program at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California. Upon returning to Canada, she became the lead singer and a principal writer for the Award Winning contemporary country group, Farmer’s Daughter. The group enjoyed major Canadian success with Gold albums, numerous CMT videos, t.v. appearances, extensive touring as well as multiple Juno, CCMA, and BCCMA Awards.
Most recently, after 10 years of vocal coaching, she has launched “The 5 Point Singing System”. This vocal program is designed to take both beginner and seasoned singers to new heights with a straight forward, easy to understand method. The digital format includes a manual as well as video tutorials and exercises infused with Angela’s wit and vocal insight, making it fun and interactive. This system is ideal for professional singers who need a tune-up before going back into the studio or on tour.
In addition to The 5 Point Singing System, Angela has created Juno Nominated children’s music and sing-a-long books such as “Frank The Cat”, “Disco Dinosaurs” and “Funky Monkey”. The series has been mesmerizing children and parents alike with the catchy, action packed songs and beautifully illustrated books. She can often be found performing her fun and interactive children’s repetoire at several children’s events around the country.
