From the Principal's Desk...
I hope that you and your children have experienced a smooth and positive transition back into the school routine. During these first few weeks of school, there has been much reviewing, modeling, and teaching of expectations for both school work and behavior. Teachers have spent time getting to know your children, just as they are getting to know their teachers. There is so much enthusiasm and a positive presence here at Isham!
The staff here at Isham will be striving to help each student develop to their fullest potential. Please help us help your child. Family support lends itself to a higher achieving student.
My transition as Principal to Isham Elementary has been wonderful! I have enjoyed meeting many of you and look forward to working together throughout the year. The entire Isham community has been extremely welcoming.
The staff and I hope that all of you have a terrific year. Please know that our doors are always open.
Sincerely,
Mr. Steve Brady
Principal

September News from the School Counselor
In the classrooms, we have reviewed our Buddy Bench rules. The month of September is dedicated to the concept of Respect. We'll play some games and learn all the ways we can show respect to others, to ourselves, and to our communities. Students received calendars with a daily task or idea about respect, which may be helpful to hand in a prominent spot (the fridge would be great!) to encourage respectful behavior in your family all month.
Finally, a reminder that I want to be in your school-home connection network. If you, your child, or anyone in your family has been touched by COVID, please let me know if I may help in any way. I am happy to video conference with a quarantined student so that he/she "eats" with friends here at school. You and your family are not alone, and I want to reassure you of my yearlong support and commitment to your child's social and emotional well-being.
