2022 - 2023 CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

HPMS offers a variety of after-school clubs supervised by HP staff members. All students are welcome to attend clubs. Most clubs begin at 2:50P and end at 3:50P. If your child takes the bus to and from school, they are considered a "regular bus rider" and they will be able to get a ride home on one of HP's activity buses after attending a staff supervised after-school club or activity. A bus pass will be required to ride the activity bus. Club advisors will distribute bus passes to students who participate in after-school activities. Activity buses depart from the front entrance of HPMS at approximately 4:05P. Please note: Most athletic practices end after 4:00P so the activity bus is not an option for those students participating in after-school sports teams.

Need to take an Activity Bus? Here is all the info you need:

  • Students must be a regular bus rider (live within the school bus boundaries)
  • There are two Activity Buses (a NORTH bus and a SOUTH bus).
  • Students need to know their address to get on the correct bus.
  • There are limited stops on the route, so it may not be your child's regular stop but somewhat close in proximity.
  • Students may ask the bus drivers to find out which bus they should take and what stop they should get off. Students need to know their home address.
  • This is NOT your student's regular bus route. Your student's arrival time home will be determined by the number of stops on any given day.
  • Activity Buses leave at approximately 4:10PM from the front of the school.
  • Activity Buses on All-School Party days will depart school later and arrive home later.

If you have questions, please call school at 425-366-5100

Spring Musical News from Mrs. Riccardo!

Still accepting applications through Feb 10th and THANKS for all who have them turned in!

On Tuesday, February 7th, there will be a special drama class in the Commons from 2:45 – 4:00 for anyone trying out for Beauty and the Beast.

During that hour and 15 minutes, anyone who would like to go over the dance steps or the song are most welcome to stop by. This will give you an extra step in the right direction for the auditions. Mrs. Riccardo will go over the music and Ms. Senn will go over the dance steps. If there is time, we will throw in a few theatre games just to get you in the mood for “Beauty and the Beast”. Need help filling out the application? We can help you with that, also. Stop in, get acquainted and know that you can take the activity bus home!

AUDITION PACKETS STILL BEING ACCEPTED until FEB 10th in W210. Questions? Stop in to W210 or send me an email at Mrs. Riccardo

Take care!

Mrs. Riccardo

Participation in DRAMA BOOSTERS is a very important part of what makes our HP Spring Musical so successful!

Q: Who participates in Drama Boosters?

A: Parents/Guardians of our cast members!

This year, DRAMA BOOSTERS needs someone to serve as President (possibly a 7th or 8th grade parent who has some experience with Drama Boosters). If this is something you would consider, please let me know.

Students, if you have questions, please stop in and see me in W210. Parents, if you have questions, please email at riccardoae@mukilteo.wednet.edu

Thank you,

Mrs. Riccardo

Director, HPMS Spring Musical & 8th grade Social Studies teacher

Mukilteo Library Teen Advisory Board

Before the pandemic, the Mukilteo Library had a thriving Teen Advisory Board (TAB) that helped Melleny Thomasson, Teen Services Librarian, plan teen programs, create library displays, complete service projects, and so much more.

TAB is starting up again at the Mukilteo Library and we are looking for a diverse group of awesome teens!

Many of the decisions about how TAB is run will be decided by those who join, but here’s what we know so far:

  1. TAB will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00-5:30pm, starting on March 2nd. Snacks are always provided!
  2. All meetings take place in the Mukilteo Library meeting room, which is located off the lobby (on your right as you enter the library).
  3. TAB is open to anyone in grades 6 through 12 who can regularly attend the meetings.
  4. There is an application to fill out, and it has more details about what TAB does.

Reply to this e-mail or e-mail Melleny Thomasson, Teen Services Librarian, MUK Library to receive the application. MThomasson@sno-isle.org
