Principals' Message

Hello Rockledge Families,

Time does keep on flying, we are already here in the month of February.

We jumped right into the 3rd quarter of learning, and we want to continue to share a big THANK YOU to all families because we know that without your partnership we would not be able to make the gains for student learning that we are.

We have many fun things going on this month.

From kicking off a semester long Lexia Challenge, where we will be challenging our Eagles to read and accomplish as many units as they can. We have a goal of collectively reading 24,000 units by April...and there may be Glow Dance Party on the line.

A local Prince William County resident Opera Singer will come and share with us the History of Black Opera as we celebrate African American Heritage this month.

Our amazing Counselors and School Climate committee will lead us in giving away KINDNESS. And of course we have new learning and new adventures that we will continue to journey through every day in our classrooms.

There are many great things happening at The Rock and within the community. Read all the details below and we will be seeing you!

Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate!

Your Principal & Assistant Principal,

Mrs. Steptoe-Coleman

Mrs. Everett
