Parents, we need your help!
Please remember to help us by completing the following survey. We are currently at 13% response rate and need to get to 20%, we can do this!
To take the survey please visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ and select the appropriate survey to begin. As a reminder, your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
Thank you for support!
P.S. - Thank you to the parents who've already completed the survey!
⏰ PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE ON TIME ⏰
We have noticed an increase in the number of students arriving late for school. We want your help in making sure students arrive on time and ready to learn. School begins at 7:50 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays and 8:50 am on Late Start Wednesdays. Therefore, any student who arrives after these times is considered late or tardy. Students may arrive between 7:30 am and 7:45 am (8:30 am to 8:45 am on Wednesdays) for breakfast or wait in the supervised hallways.
Starting next week, all doors will be closed promptly at 7:50 am (8:50 am on Wednesdays). After that, all students must be accompanied by their parent/guardian and enter through the Main Office. A five-minute grace period will be given to allow students to transition to class. However, students arriving in class after 7:55 am will be considered tardy.
Please help us make a change. Every minute late is a missed learning opportunity!

Dressing for the Weather
Now that the weather is getting nice out, students will continue going out for recess every day. Please make sure that your child wears appropriate sweater/jacket to school.
Lost & Found
Once again we have accumulated a large quantity of items left behind by our students. We have set them out for them to see if anything belongs to them but still have items left over.
If you know your child has lost any of these items please reach out to the school office (708) 458-7260 or stop by door #14 to take a look.
Technology Devices
Just a reminder that students should be taking care of their technology devices, especially when they taken home.
As stated in the student handbook the policy states:
The district will assume the cost of parts and labor associated with all repairs deemed due to natural failure. If the technical department determines a failure due to damage, the student will be responsible for any hardware costs needed to return the device to a functional state. The district will assume all labor costs associated with damage repairs. Cosmetic damage will not be charged or repaired.
