Economics

We make loads of money in the Middle Colonies by being farmers, tailors, glass blowers, silversmiths, and brick makers. We trade flour, corn, biscuit, timber, tuns, boards, fish, and butter. The Middle Colonies had some slaves but they were only used to work in large manors and on farms. In the Middle Colonies only 5% of the slaves were Africans.

Geography

The names of each of the middle Colonies are the Delaware Colony, the Pennsylvania Colony, the New York Colony, and the New Jersey Colony. In the Middle Colonies some of the nearest bodies of water are the Atlantic Ocean, the Hudson River, and the Delaware River. The Middle Colonies have mild weather and we have fertile soil so many people make a living farming.

Religion

In the Middle Colonies there is religious freedom. Some of the religious groups that settled in the Middle Colonies are the Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, Jews, and others.
This is what some of the churches would look like in the Middle Colonies.

Natives and Indians

The people who already lived in the Middle Colonies are the Iroquois and the Algonquian indians.

Why was it started?

The Middle Colonies were started because of religious freedom, trade, profits, and furs.

Why is it better?

The Middle Colonies are better than the Southern Colonies and the New England Colonies because there is religious freedom which means that you can have your own beliefs and there are many crops and you have a better chance at getting a good job here than if you were in any other colony. So, I hope you and your family come to the Middle Colonies!
