First of all, the asian elephant is born. Next, the little elephant stays close to mom for 2-4 years. Then, the elephant starts to help their herd at 16. After that, they are fully grown at 20 and help their herd more than at 16-19. Thereafter, they start to go bald at 30. Close to the end of their lives, they start to not help the herd as much at age 50. Lastly, they die around 70.

Elephants have tusks that are made of ivory which is valuable. Ivory can be made into expensive ornaments (not christmas tree ornaments ) and jewelry this is why people kill elephants for their tusks. But they only take the tusks and they kill an elephant just for money.

Elephant poaching

Due to the much killing of elephants, people placed a band on it because 80% of elephants were killed once. There is now severe punishments if you are caught selling ivory or killing an elephant if it is not harming you so elephants can recover.
