by: Morgan Stouffer

Red Beach is located in Europe. More specifically Santorini Greece. The Red Beach happens to be a very large tourist attraction in Greece. Latitude: N 36.597889 Longitude: E 24.082031

Active or Passive, Secondary or Primary

The Red Beach is active. The Red Beach is located very close to a plate boundary. The Red Beach is classified as primary because geological forces, such as earthquakes, have formed the land.

The sand is a redish tone but not exactly sandy. It's more of a rocky texture. The sand itself is made from the sedimentary rock called limestone.

The Red Beach is filled with many caves and large beaches. The water is extremely blue, and lots of earthquakes occur causing large waves and land changing all the time.
