A Message From Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
Hola from Puerto Rico! The 8th grade class, parents, and I are having a fabulous time learning about the culture and history of this beautiful island.
Yesterday, we toured Old San Juan and walked alongside 14th century walls that still surround the city, then the students participated in a unique art workshop led by an internationally acclaimed Puerto Rican artist and director. Right now, we are on the bus headed to El Yunque Rain Forest, and we will hike La Mina Falls. The weather has been great, our guides Ronaldo, Carlos, and Gail are fantastic and knowledgable, and spirits are positive. We are seeing and experiencing activities and countryside that is making for a memorable final time as the Class of 2016 prepares to leave Grace.
Thank you to all who have supported the Bake Sale and thank you to my supportive staff and faculty who keep things running smoothly in my absence. Have a wonderful weekend and please keep our group in your thoughts and prayers for our continued safety and peace.
Gator Love to you all,
Dr. Beth J. Ricks
