Fraser Virtual K-12 Application for 2021-2022
All students are scheduled to return to a face-to-face learning environment and elementary students have been placed back in their Fraser home school for the 21-22 school year. (In-district schools of choice students will be placed at their selected school.)
However, we know that some families would like to continue to learn virtually. We are happy to announce that a virtual option will be available to our families next year. Below are some important documents for you and your child to review if you are planning to enroll in the Fraser Virtual K-12 Program:
- Elementary Virtual Handbook
- Secondary Virtual Handbook
- Richards Middle School Course Catalog
- Fraser High School Course Catalog
Fraser Virtual K-12 Registration is currently open. Applications will be accepted now thru June 25th. After that date, you may still apply; however, your application will be placed on a waiting list. Families will not be able to switch between virtual and face-to-face before the beginning of the school year. Please be ready to commit to virtual learning prior to submitting your application.
Please click here to complete your application.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact your building principal or Audrey.Hernden@fraserk12.org. We look forward to working together to continue to do what is best for our Fraser Families.
Third Trimester Report Cards
Report cards will be mailed home to all of our Comets after next week. Students who have been in reading or math intervention will have their final progress monitoring data graphs sent home with them before school ends. We will also be sending every student's end-of-the-year benchmarking data home to families.

UPDATED 5/21/21 - MDHHS SCHOOL QUARANTINE GUIDELINES
In updated guidance for schools, MDHHS is now advising that if a COVID exposure occurs only in the classroom, while both the infected individual and close contact were masked and sitting at least three feet apart, the close contact does not need to be quarantined. We will still conduct contact tracing and notify you if your child was a close contact, but they will still be able to attend school. Close contacts will need to be monitored for symptoms and should practice social distancing, wear a face mask and avoid large gatherings.
Students who are exposed in other settings, including contact sports or if they were closer than three feet, would still need to quarantine for 10 days.
Please note that if your child is in this situation, they are still a close contact with an exposure to Covid-19. The family should consider this before having the child visit family members and friends who may be at risk of severe outcomes for Covid-19 infection and limit the child's social activities outside of school for at least 10 days if asymptomatic.
Students who test positive for Covid-19 must still isolated per MDHHS and CDC Guidelines and my not attend school during their infectious period.
See the full MDHHS Guidance document HERE.
Mask Update
With the recent updated guidance regarding the wearing of masks, students and staff are no longer required to wear a mask outside. Students have the option to decide whether or not to wear their masks outdoors each day.
If you wish for your child to continue wearing masks outdoors, please be sure to communicate that to your child so that they are aware of your family's expectations. It will be up to your child to adhere to those expectations- as it will be difficult for us to monitor this.
All students and staff will continue to wear their masks in the building throughout the day.
