PERRY TOWNSHIP EDUCATION FOUNDATION and WHAT SPONSORSHIP LOOKS LIKE

At PTEF we deeply value every gift we receive from our donors. It is with these gifts that we are able to successfully run our organization and affect change in Perry Township. We are determined to keep the support going and are planning to grow. We need your help to make this happen.

Our current funds come from many different sources; events, private donors, grant giving organizations, endowment funds, and corporate sponsorships. At the end of 2022 we continued to partner with ten awesome corporate sponsors and we are moving our corporate sponsorship to a traditional annual year (January through December).

You can support the Perry Township Education Foundation in numerous ways – from attending the Annual Golf Outing to making a contribution. The Swing for Education Golf Outing is open for registration and sponsorships. Don’t wait, several of the sponsorships are already sold! Other Corporate sponsorships are listed on our website, see the link below.

NCAA SWIMMING and DIVING FIELD TRIP

PTEF was excited to learn that Indiana Sports Corp was sponsoring a group of 3rd graders to watch the Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium on Friday, March 10.

Learning of this opportunity, PTEF Executive Director jumped at the chance to work with Indiana Sports Corp and share this with Clinton Young Elementary School Principal David Henriott. Mr. Henriott was quick to accept this once-in-a-lifetime experience for his 3rd graders.

On Friday, March 10th 125 Clinton Young 3rd graders loaded onto three buses and headed to IU’s Natatorium. Teachers and students had a great time and will have this memory forever.

Indiana Sports Corp capped this at 300 students therefore the Clinton Young students were over 41% of the lucky sponsored spectators at the event. The transportation was paid for by Indiana Sports Corp and each student received a free book. PTEF wants to send a big thank you to Indiana Sports Corp and Mr. Henriott for supporting Perry Township Schools.

Success at The James Whitcomb Riley Program

The J.W. Riley Success Academy is committed to helping Perry Township students. They are doing amazing things and PTEF is happy to be a community partner with the staff and these awesome students.

The JWR program is conducted within a single 9-week or 45-day grading period. Parents and students conduct an intake conference with the administration from JWR before the grading period begins. During the 45-day program there are different units that last one week each. During the last week of the program, students make a final presentation that summarizes their full experience as participants in the program. Students that complete the program are also expected to stay connected with the JWR staff by conducting virtual mentoring sessions.

If you want to learn more or become a community partner visit the JWR site at https://www.notaboutbirdhouses.com/
