Wilson's Weekly

April 30 - May 4, 2018

Monday, we will review how to solve various types of perimeter problems. Tuesday, the students will take their Perimeter Post-Test. Wednesday, we will begin a review of how to find the area of a polygon. We'll start off by using the equation (length x width = area) to solve problems. Thursday, the students will work backwards and find possibilities for the length and width when given the area.

This week, we'll be reading nonfiction articles, identifying the main idea, and pulling details that support the main idea.

Monday, the students will be taking the key details that they found while researching their natural disaster and putting them in sequential order. They will then create a summary paragraph for each chapter that includes a main idea, key details, and a closing sentence. Tuesday & Wednesday, the students will type their summary paragraphs and add images to their presentation. Thursday & Friday, the students will share their presentation with the class.

Monday, the students will complete the review for our Matter Unit. Tuesday, we will go over the correct answers to the review as a class. Wednesday, the students will take the Matter Post-Test.
