May 2016

THANK YOU!!!!!

Another year has flown by!! I can't believe it is already May and we are fast approaching the end of the school year. This year has been full of challenges, but I hope we can all focus on all the good things that have taken place and the progress that has been made with our students!! Once again, Sarah and I want to say a huge "THANK YOU" everyone for all your hard work and dedication.

Celebrate!!

Remember last fall when we talked about the grant that we were awarded and the van that we would be purchasing for our high school students to use for Community Based Instruction and Work Based Learning? Well, it finally arrived on our Bartlett High Campus April 21, 2016! It was well worth the wait!

Olympics for Exceptional Athletes

Our Olympics for Exceptional Athletes was a huge success!! Even though the weather did not cooperate and we had to move the festivities to the gym, the students had a blast!

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the day "exceptionally" fun for all!!

From Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Comeaux's class at Elmore Park Middle

Wanted to share the fun news! On Saturday, we built a garden with the help of Eagle Buddies, Ken Carter and sponsered through Bellevue Loves Memphis. We had plants donated through various clubs in the building. We have three cinderblock beds and plan on planting this week. We will paint in August.

EASY IEP Tip for the Month

Anytime you have an IEP meeting where a new eligibility is signed, PLEASE remember to finalize the new Eligibility report in EasyIEP before you finalize the IEP for that meeting. We cannot stress the importance of this too much!!

Final Progress Reports

All related service providers should have their final progress reports completed by May 20, 2016. After this date, case managers will need to complete and finalize all progress reports and prepare them to be sent home.

Great Resource we wanted to share!!
