Thursday-Hour of Code
Fourth Graders are also eager to begin their journey in learning to code and they too have mostly completed the Minecraft puzzles, preparing them to move on in their challenge!

Jaela has become a master at drag and drop coding, also called "blockly"! Go Jaela!
December Schedule
Parents, just a reminder that this week is the last week for SIP class until January! We do not have classes next week due to Kindergarten GT Identification testing and students in grades 1-5 have parties, field trips and end of semester events scheduled in their regular classrooms. Have an amazing Winter Break! SIP class resumes Tuesday, January 5th!
Chess Logs!
Students have been filling their chess logs up quickly as of late! I am so proud of their hard work! We have run low on prizes for the weekly chess motivational prizes, so if you have any cool toys or items that would make good prizes laying around, feel free to send them to me and I'll add them to our dwindling prize basket! Students so look forward to this weekly event, and they have worked so hard to fill in their logs, I don't want to disappoint them! Some great ideas are new or gently used chapter or picture books, coupons to restaurants for drinks, snow cones, milkshakes or snacks, restaurant kid meal toys, left over prizes from birthday parties, bookmarks, or other small items you might have in a drawer somewhere that you'd like to pass along, If you have a question, call me and I'll let you know if we can use it!
SPARK Class!
Kindergarten SPARK class students have been very busy bees! Our special pull-out enrichment program is held every other Monday and students are learning all about their creative spark! From accepting mistakes and making them into something beautiful, to learning to embrace their own personal style, students are coming out of their shells and learning about themselves as a unique person. SPARK classes are finished for this semester, but they will begin again on Monday January 11th!
Donate to Mrs. Brower's Project at Donorschoose.org!
Our class project is called "Mrs. Brower's Bookbag" and it is only about one-fifth funded! The deadline is February 8th! Thank you to Rodbert Velasco and Lauren Baker and their families for their support and for their donations to our project so far! Fingers crossed that we will be totally funded soon!
