Reading Buddies Visit LA Opera
Reading Buddies from Gardner Elementary program consists of fourth graders pairing with kindergarteners and reading together every week. It’s mutually beneficial in both reading and in each grade level’s social-emotional health. Some of our buddies recently took a field trip to the LA Opera together. It was a day of bus-riding, lunch-eating, opera-watching togetherness and we love watching some of their bonds (and their reading) grow over time. But we send a lot of praise and thanks to that bus driver!
