Amendments 1 and 4
Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. This gives you the freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and the right to petition. The right to petition allows you to request to do something. This protects you in everyday life because it gives you the option to choose what you want to believe in. It also allows you to be able to express yourself freely.
Amendment 4
The right of the people secure in there persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. This amendment protects you from being arrested with out a reason. This helps you in everyday life because it protects your privacy since it requires officers to get a warrant before trying to arrest you or before they search your house.
