The Invention of Frozen Food!!!
BY: EMILY CORMIER
Clarence Birdseye invented frozen food.
Clarence wished his family could have fresh food all year. After he observed the people of the Arctic preserving fresh fish, and meet in barrels of seawater quickly frozen by the temperatures in the Arctic, he figured out that it was the rapid freezing in the very low temperatures. That made food retain freshness when its thawed and cooked months later.

About Frozen Food!!!!!
Freezing food preserves it from the time it is prepared to the time it is eaten. Freezing food slows down decomposition by turning moisture into ice, preventing the growth of bacteria. Beginning in 1929, Clarence Birdseye offered his quick-frozen foods to the public. Birdseye got the idea during expeditions to Labrador in 1912 and 1916.
