Cause Of Anthrax

Anthrax is caused by the organism bacillus and can be found in cattle and other hoofed animals.

Spread of Disease

Anthrax can be spread in the air from breathing in spores. If spores get through a cut or broken skin into your body you may get Anthrax. Eating contaminated food can also lead to Anthrax.

Treatment

Anthrax is treated with the antibiotics penicillin, doxycycline , cyprofloxin, and antitoxin. The patient will also need to have continuous fluid drainage and help breathing.

Symptoms of Anthrax

Symptoms of Anthrax include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, loss of appetite, fever, bloody diarrhea , sore throat, and difficulty swallowing.

Prevention Of The Disease

Ways to avoid anthrax is to not eat meat that has not been properly slaughtered or cooked and don't work around raw animal skin , fur, or hides.
