How Do I Use the WIDA ACCESS Reports?
Use the Individual Score Reports when talking to a student or his/her teachers or family about WIDA ACCESS scores. This report lists scores in all of the domains (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) and provides a short description of each proficiency level, which is helpful during parent conferences. You can get translated reports to send home or to have available during conferences at the WIDA Resource Library here. Teachers might use this information on the individual score reports for forming student groups for collaborative work or identifying which students need more support.
The Student Roster Report contains information about a group of students within a single grade. Use this report to take a look at school-wide progress for your ELs when planning language services for the next school year.
Frequency Reports show the number and percentage of students who were tested per grade and the number of students who scored at each proficiency level. Frequency reports do not show the performance of individual students, so they are best for providing a global overview of group performance.
