Global winds

Global winds are winds that blow from the poles, global winds act as a heat transfer. these winds are due to unequal heating of the earths surface. EXAMPLES: Trade winds, easterlies, and westerlies.

Local winds

Local winds are winds that blow over short distances caused by unequal heating of the earths surface in a small area. these local winds can happen wherever their are un equal heating process. EXAMPLES: sea breezes and land breezes.
