Project Extra COVID-19 Survival Guide
Checking in!!
This week has been an interesting week. I had to pack up my classroom and it was more difficult than I expected. Not the work aspect but being presented with all of the wonderful ideas and creativity that was cut off short. The cardboard creations, passion projects, and lego challenges. Then there were the traditions that our 8th grade will miss out on, like painting their ceiling tile and the end of Project Extra celebration. The beauty for me is that I get to keep everyone another year, except for my 8th graders and I know we will have many more adventures!!
I also got to share with teachers and administrators around the state my experiences with looping, as many districts are looking at that as a viable possibility for the fall. It was great to share my own experiences but also listen to how middle schools do it or schools that are ESL schools are doing it. I loved my experiences with looping!

A Peek at the Week
Next week's theme is Harry Potter!!! I found a cool site that JK Rowling actually made specifically for the situation that we are currently in and have some escape room things as well. I will throw in some lego challenges and what not!!
I am going to post the picture and the link so that if kids can not get into their google classroom they can maybe connect to the link ??? If there is something else you would like me to try, just message me and I will see what I can do. The connect link is the same link each week and the times will always be 11:00 in less, like this week, I have an issue like an emergency tractor part!!
Please share any cool things that you guys are doing! I love seeing everyone and the creativity and fun!!
