St. Mike's Matters - Thursday Notes
January 25, 2018 Issue #16
Dear St. Michael Families,
Are you ready for Catholic Schools Week? To help you and your children prepare, please follow our Catholic Schools Week calendar linked below. The calendar highlights our events, activities, and themed dress days. Please note that we would like all St. Michael students to wear their school uniforms at Mass this weekend. As we move towards Vision 2026 of fully funding Catholic education for all parish families, now is a great time to show our school pride and make a visible school presence in our church! Several families will be serving as greeters and gift bearers at each of the Masses. Additionally, two of our school families, the Boyds and the Areopagitas, will be delivering witness talks about the purpose and value of Catholic education in their lives.
Please help us kick off Catholic Schools Week at our Open House and New Family Registration on Sunday, January 28th from 11 AM-1 PM. We invite you to join us to meet your child’s teachers for next year and to learn about your child’s curriculum for the upcoming year. As current parents, you are our valued ambassadors of Catholic education and your recommendations directly boost our enrollment. I know that many of you discovered our school through word of mouth recommendations, so please help us provide a transformative PK-8 grade education to more children by inviting just one new family to our open house. Imagine the impact we can make! We are offering you a gratitude gift of a waived registration fee when a new family registers and indicates that you referred their child to our school. This is our small way of thanking you for partnering with us to grow our family of families. We will be accepting registration forms for the 2018-2019 school year for new families starting at 11 AM that day.
Our S.M.A.R.T. Gala committee is off and running under the leadership of Chairs Greg and Vicky Byrd and Co-Chairs Brent and Sandra Quebedeaux. I am so grateful for the vision and leadership of these parents, and for all of the parents serving on the committee. Thank you, all, for contributing your time and talents to this remarkable tradition of stewardship, community building, and fun!
Blessings,
Connor Geraghty
Principal
