1A Quick Reminders
March 9, 2018
Dear 1A Families,
Thanks to you all, our Marble Jar Party was a success! Here is sneak peek of the fun! We will resume our normal issue of 1A Classroom Update soon so tune in then for more photos. Below, we have 2 important reminders:
1.) We have updated our list of materials needed to construct our homes for Inquiry. Please save and send in with your child any type of cardboard, yogurt or milk containers, egg cartons, etc. to support us with this project as we will begin to build soon! Thank you to those who have sent something in, your support is greatly appreciated! We are so excited to share this project with you.
- artificial grass
- straw bale
- cardboard pieces/boxes in any shape or form
- construction paper
- air dry clay (preferably gray or white)
- woodsie dowels (various sizes)
- sand
- wood pieces
- foam bricks (white and red)
- plastic bottles/cans
- Styrofoam or wood glue
2.) Please help your child in remembering to bring their book baggie to school each day. We will be using them during independent reading time as well as Lit Block times and it is imperative that they practice reading on their "just-right" books daily. Our 1A friends will "book shop" and switch their book on an assigned day each week and will need their baggies in order to get new books from our library.
