Welcome to Mary Lynch Newsletter
Hello Mary Lynch Friends and Family, and welcome to the Mary Lynch Newsletter. Our hope is to provide you with a way to stay informed about your student’s learning at Mary Lynch. Our goal is to have this be a monthly project for 5th grade students. They will expand their communication skills, have some enriching experiences inside the classroom and with Mary Lynch educators. Below are some notes from teachers about the first few weeks of school and more information about articles we want to include in this monthly newsletter. Thank-you for reading Mary Lynch Newsletter.
Please look for the Mary Lynch Newsletter on the first Friday of each month.

News From the Classrooms
Kindergarten
Mrs. Klosterman and Miss Malm - In Kindergarten we completed NWEA testing for both reading and math. Students also completed pencil, crayon, scissors, glue, and playdough “Boot Camp” and received dog tags certifying “Boot Camp” completion.
Do you know how to tell if a Monarch butterfly is a boy or a girl? If not, ask a Kindergartener.
Kindergarteners learned about the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly. They raised an egg, to caterpillar, to a chrysalis, and finally to a butterfly. That brings back some fond memories.
First Grade
Mrs. Patterson and Miss Lashmett - We have had a great start to the school year. We are so excited to see new faces join our classes and not have to social distance. Hopefully it will remain that way.
Next week we have math tests over 2-D and 3-D shapes, please help your child with their practice sheets.
Second Grade
Third Grade

Hello Kimball, my name is Mr. Jefferis, I am very excited to teach here in Kimball, both the schools and community have been very welcoming to my wife and I, thank-you. 5th and 6th graders started the school year with a get to know you project, so I can get to know the great students here at Mary Lynch. Next, we will be experimenting with creating some cartoon characters. I am looking forward to the school year.
