Eagle Sightings October
Holly Wehner, Principal
Dear Eagle Families,
The month of October is off to a great start! Students are settling into the routines and expectations of their classrooms and the school. All school staff are greeting students each day with a smile and setting a positive and supportive tone for all learners. As I walk through the halls and visit with students at lunch and recess, I continue to see such joy as students are working, eating and playing together!
Perseverance is our character trait of the month. It has been a pleasure to visit classrooms to talk about perseverance, and to learn from students about times they have persevered. I also want to recognize the perseverance that is happening at home. The expectations of families and adult helpers throughout the pandemic has been tremendous. FHES is so grateful for the partnership throughout this time, and we look forward to the continued collaboration as we work together to support our learners academically and emotionally!
I am excited to also report how FHES Eagles are SOARing! They are Safe, On task, Accountable, and Respectful. Ask an FHES child in your life what they have done (or will do) to earn a SOAR award!
Thank you,
Holly Wehner

FHES Parent Teacher Organization
Attention all FHES families and community! The King’s receipt fundraiser is back! For those of you who are not familiar with this awesome fundraiser, King’s graciously gives the school back 1% of all King’s receipts collected. That’s right everyone, this is essentially free money that will go directly back into the school’s PTO and back to the students! All you have to do is :
- COLLECT ALL of your and your extended family’s King’s receipts throughout the year
- Drop them off by the main door at the school- there will be a big box labeled “King’s receipts”, whenever you get a chance. The receipts will be added up quarterly.
It is as simple as that! SPREAD THE WORD! This is an incredible and easy way to raise funds that will go directly back to the students for new equipment, supplies, T-shirts, fun activities, and more! Start saving those receipts!!
Halloween Parade
FHES will be putting on the annual Halloween Parade on Friday October 29th. Keep an eye out for more details to come.
