Quote - " At the moment the bird began to flutter, but the wings were uncoordinated, and amid much flapping and a spray of flying feathers, it tumbled down, bumping through the limbs of the bleeding tree and landing at our feet with a thud." (page-321)
Meaning - This quote is symbolism because doddle and the bird are in the same situation . Doodle sees himself like the bird when the bird dies because he is not suppose to be living .
Man Vs. Self
Man Vs. Self - Struggles inside to make a decision
Quote - "I did not know then the pride is wonderful, terrible thing, a seed that bears two vines, life and death."
Meaning - This quote is Man Vs. Self because doddles brother realized that doddle is the only brother he has and he has to deal with it.

Meaning - This quote relates to doddles brother because it tells how he feels and it also says he selfish ways and reason he doing this.

Meaning - This is protagonist because the brother has a problem with his pride and ego.
