Women's Suffrage Centennial
- In honor of the centennial celebration of the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, the Official Committee of the State of Tennessee Woman Suffrage Centennial has secured funding from the Tennessee General Assembly for the creation of an additional twenty Woman Suffrage Docsboxes. All 22 Woman Suffrage Docsboxes will be available completely free of charge to teachers for the 2019-2020 school year.
- Our Woman Suffrage DocsBox examines Tennessee’s role in the women’s suffrage movement in the early twentieth century through the use of digitized primary sources and reproduction materials. Students will learn about the movement through items such as a reproduction Votes for Women sash, Suffrage buttons, and more. Seven primary source-based activities that examine both sides of Suffrage argument, important key players, propaganda, and the ratification process are included in this DocsBox.
