Educational Apps for iPads
Good Morning District 103 Family,
Since the majority of our students will have access to their school iPad this summer, I wanted to make you aware that some apps students use throughout the year will be available all summer and have already been installed on their devices! Below are just a few of the apps, I would like to bring to your attention, but through a little exploration with your child, you may find many more!
Brainpop/ Brainpop Jr: Short animated movies for students in grades K-5, together with quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music.
Dreambox: DreamBox focuses on mathematics education at the elementary level. DreamBox Learning provides K-5 grade students with over 1,800 lessons presented as animated adventures, games, and challenges.
Duolingo: A language learning website and app used in the district's Spanish program.
Additionally, the Vernon Area Library is facilitating a Reading Camp and they are keeping an activity finder webpage updated with exciting online literacy activities!
