Dress Code Help
We need your help!
A dress code is appropriate for schools as it helps maintain a professional and respectful learning environment, reduces distractions and peer pressure related to clothing choices, promotes equality and inclusivity among students, and prepares them for future workplace expectations regarding attire. A dress code does not stifle style, choice, or expression, rather it allows students to be individuals while learning the appropriateness for varied occasions.
Parents, we need your help and support in regard to dress code. In short, the dress code is that students need to dress appropriately for a school setting. If your student is wearing something and is wondering if it is out of dress code, error on the side of not wearing it.
Students, Please use common sense and be prepared. For example, if you are wearing something that you believe might be against the dress code, have another shirt in your bag so you can change if you are dress coded. Students, let me say that one more time... if you think your shirt may be out of dress code, have another shirt ready in your bag:)
Trust me, NOBODY likes to stop students for dress code. Please help us by monitoring your own student's dress. Students who are out of dress code may be assigned to our student support center until they are able to fix the dress code issue.
Yearbook is Officially On Sale!
The 2023 Yearbook is officially on sale! Please contact Ms. Mendoza in Accounting to purchase the book. The Yearbook is currently on sale for $75 for the rest of the year. We have about 150 copies left for sale. Get one before they sell out! Contact Ms. Mendoza in accounting today!
Last year's book sold out before the yearbook arrived, so don't miss out on your piece of Lancaster history. The only way to guarantee a copy is buying during the presale as after that, it's first come first serve until the yearbooks run out.

Eagle Robotics Team 399 Qualify for Worlds
What a season it has been for our Eagle Robotics Team 399! It's not over yet. We're going to World Championships in Houston, Texas!! Team 399's performance at the Aerospace Valley Regional this weekend was something to be proud of.
The consistency of our drive team, Darian Racster and Derrick Udtohan, carried us through 2 tough days of qualification matches into the playoffs. We beat out every other AV team to advance to the 3rd round of the semifinals on Saturday. Those guys along with Charles Liggins, Cooper Larson, and Ashley Guerrero really deserve some props. Solid drive/pit crew this season. A special shoutout to our entire leadership team and the boss lady, our Team Manager Maryanne Molina. This is truly one of the hardest working leadership teams we have ever had: Maryanne Molina, Katelyn McClanahan, Madelyn Tien, Samara Weisberg, Darian Racster, Charles Liggins, and Derrick Udtohan.
We are most proud of the award that qualifies us for Champs AND pays our $5k registration fee. We received the Engineering Inspiration Award. This team award "celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community." It was almost 10 years to the day since Team 399 last won Engineering Inspiration. It's a difficult award to get because you have to prove that you have measurable, sustained initiatives in place for community engagement, team recruitment, stem education outreach. Basically, all aspects of the team. And you can't rest on the success of previous years because they look at current data.
Our robotics students achieved this by working during their breaks, assisting teams at other schools, creating community partnerships, hosting summer camps and workshops for younger kids, and a ton of other things all year. They're successfully doing the work of industry professionals and we are really proud of them.

Artists of the Week
Painting students had to study an object and paint it three different ways on three different canvases! They also had to incorporate color theory when picking out the colors for their paintings. It's a lot of work, but the results are amazing! Please take a closer look at these paintings and other works in the gallery upstairs.

Tutoring
VIRTUAL *LIVE* Tutoring (Virtual Tutoring with a Live Person)
Did you know that your student has LIVE 24 HOUR FREE tutoring available in your student's PowerSchool? Our district has partnered with Princeton Review to provide every student with this amazing service. Your student can be connected with a tutor in any subject any time of the day, for FREE. These are not videos, they are live, vetted, tutors. Think of Uber, but for tutoring! The tutors will even edit papers for your student with less than a 24 hour turn-a-round period.
The easiest way to access this free, live, virtual tutoring, is to have your student log into google with their school account, log into Power School, look on the left side of the screen and find the live tutor button, and follow the easy to follow directions from there. If you need assistance, CLICK HERE or the button below for a tutorial.
In-Person 0-Period Live Tutoring on Campus
Students must check in at the door for tutoring. Students must be working quietly or receiving tutoring to be in the library before school.
We will host all tutoring in the library during these hours with adult tutors to assist your students. Use this time for quiet work time or to get specific help from our tutors.
TUTOR TIP: Have your work out and ready. Have specific questions for tutors. Get help when you are stuck!
How does my child get lunch?
Lunch is free for all and can be found at the multiple lunch sites on campus.
This change means students are not required to complete a meal application or provide any specific documentation, however, we are still required to gather family income and demographic information to ensure that your student benefits from additional state and federal programs that are available.
