What groups are involved, who had the power?
The groups that are involved are the rebels which could also be known as the gorillas. The government, the (rich and the military) and then there's the peasants. And also the rich and the military had the poor.

rebels fighting to over throw the government which is being ruined by the rich
rich
very rich own the military
peasents
very poor mostly farmers
How did the balance of power shift?
The balance of power shifted because the United States intervened and the rich and the military lost power and the rebels gained power. Treaties made the power shifting more dangerouse because the group you made the treaty with might not keep there word.
How was cooperation and conflict shown in the game?
Cooperation- was shown by the government and the United States making treaties and so where other groups making treaties with each other.
Conflict- Sometimes some groups would brake there treaties and join or betray another group.
What role did the United States play on the simulation?
The United States played the foreign country in Guatemala, that is trying to intervene in the conflict that is happening between the rebels, government and the rich and military.
What happeneds to a country when power shifts, is the effect posistive or negative?
When power shifts depending on where the power shifts it could be a positive or negative effect because say the rebels got all the power and lied about everything they said and took over the government. That would be a bad effect, a good effect is when the United States takes over the government for a small amount of time to get the government back on its own feet and make fair rules and or laws for the population.
Apply the information to your life. what relationships do you have in your life, how are cooperation and conflict evident?
Example 1, Cooperation in my life is with me and my dad. We both work together to solve a comin problem like there was this one day where I didn't know how to put something together and he gave me a hand with it and we got the job done fast then me just doing it myself.
Example 2, Me and my mom were arguing about a answer on my science work and I didn't look like it was coming to an end. And when it finally ended she was still angry that I didn't agree with her answer.
