Principal's Message
Dear Evergreen Elementary Families,
Welcome back to school! The first day of school is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 17th, 2021. The school day will be from 8:20-12:00 pm. We are very excited to have the students back on campus. My goal this year is to ensure that all students feel safe and comfortable in their environment so that they are ready to learn. We will be focusing the beginning of the year on a restorative restart with an emphasis on the Evergreen Expectations.
All students will be getting a green folder sent home on the first day of school with forms to be returned. Please see below for updated information about the start of the year.
Sincerely,
Maya Nava, Principal
Morning Drop Off Procedures
On the first day of school, you will be able to walk your student to the front door of the classroom. Unfortunately, you will not be able to go inside the classroom. You may also drop off at the drive-through drop-off line in front of the school. If you choose the drop-off line, we ask that you please stay in your vehicle. We will have staff helping students exit vehicles. Staff will also be on campus to help each student find their classroom.
On the second day of school, students will line up on the blacktop by the cone with their teacher's name. Supervision will begin at 8:10
Crisis Go
When you pull up the email you will click on the "report" button (Pictured 1st)
You will be asked the 4 questions (pictured 2nd and 3rd).
Once you submit, your child's teacher and the office will be able to see that your child is certified to be on campus.
This survey will need to be completed each and everyday.
Pick Up Procedures
For dismissal, you may:
Come on campus to pick up your student outside their classroom
Come on campus and pick up in front of the school. For students being picked up in front of the school, 3rd through 5th grades students will be supervised by the big tree furthest from the office, and 1st through 2nd grade will be supervised by the big tree closest to the office.
Pick up in the vehicle pick up line: We will have staff outside at the pick-up line helping students find their vehicle. We ask that you do not exit the vehicle if you are in the pick-up line.
Technology:
I am happy to announce that we will continue to provide 1:1 tech for our students.
Returning students: Please have your child bring their device to school by the end of the first week of school. We are working on getting charging carts so please bring the charger. Once we have the charging carts, we will send home the chargers for families to keep in a safe spot in case devices are needed at home.
New Students: Our IT department will be deploying devices to our new students in the next coming weeks.
All families: Please look in your green folder for the technology use agreement information.
