McKinney Boyd Band Newsletter

Week of 5/9-5/14

Happy Mothers Day!!

Weekly Announcements

Other teachers make band directors laugh when they say "only (enter #) of school days left".

Band directors count # events instead of tracking days. (21 events over the course of 10 school days). This also doesn't count the events band does during summer break.

That being said, every newsletter is going to PACKED with detailed information on what's coming up and help us all be clear on what's going on. Please read carefully and thoughtfully so we can end this semester strong !!

Every student in band must have an updated physical on file EVERY year.

We MUST have a completed 2022-2023 physical in our hands before ANY student can participate on May 16-17th mini marching camp where we will begin building our primary marching rosters for the Fall 2022 season.

It is VITAL to have current medical information to prepare for every safety and security scenario. It is also MISD policy.

We cannot accept physicals for the 2022-2023 season until after April 1st 2022.

They can be done by your doctor or at one of our convenient $20 physical drives. You can attend any of the schools event but make sure you notate that you are from Boyd and that Band needs a copy as well.
