NATIONAL MAGNET SCHOOL MONTH
Interested in seeing Montessori in action? Please do! Please consider visiting a Montessori classroom this month! Need coverage? Just let a member of the admin team know and we are happy to arrange a visit for anyone that is curious about our magnet program!
Did you take the assessment? If not, please do so now!
I have ordered an assessment for you to complete online. An email was sent to you that contains the link for you to begin the assessment along with some tips on how to get the most out of your experience. Be assured that the assessment website you'll be using meets the highest standards of privacy and security—responses and personal information are secure.
The assessment you are taking should take you about 15 minutes to complete; it’s best to finish the session in one sitting, but if you need to stop part-way through an assessment and resume it later, you can; don’t over-think any assessment items; select the responses that seem most natural and comfortable—“listen to your gut”; be honest about who you truly are (not who you or possibly others think you should be)—your responses are completely confidential; and even if questions seem repetitive or a little confusing, please try to respond to each one.
In an effort to create meaningful professional development that is relevant to all of our staff, we will spend Friday afternoon discussing the results and how you synergize with others based on your personality!
My History, My Future
Our students have a wonderful opportunity to express themselves and have their tweets published by a national education organization.
In recognition of Black History Month, EdTrust (https://edtrust.org/who-we-are/) is seeking tweets from students, 200 characters or less, on the theme: My History, My Future.
Please provide the information requested and the content of your tweet. The tweet should answer the question: What your future looks like?
The goal of this project is to amplify and highlight student voices as the writers/leaders of the next chapter in Black history.
Your suggested tweets will be sent to EdTrust, and selected tweets will be posted to the @EdTrust Twitter timeline. Tweets may be edited for grammar and spelling. Richland Two may also use tweets on its social media accounts.
Will you please share this link with your students and encourage them to share their thoughts?
On behalf of Dr. Helen Grant, thanks so much for your cooperation.
