Course Recommendation Override Requests
We are in the process of scheduling course override requests. If you filled out the Google Form requesting an override, the override will be granted unless you inform your counselor otherwise. If you have any doubt about your request for an override, it is strongly recommended that you have a conversation with your current teacher and the department head if you are considering overriding the teacher’s recommendation. If you ask to move up or down a level after your schedule is created, you may not be able to do so. There are caps on the number of students that can enroll in each section of a course and movement from one level to another is limited by the enrollment caps. Your schedule will be created based on your requests. If you wish to change your request for an override, please inform your counselor by Wednesday May 6th.
Student course requests are a significant factor in finalizing the list of courses that will be offered in 2020-2021. We will make every effort to accommodate elective requests but please be mindful that all electives have limited enrollment and are scheduled in descending order Seniors to Freshmen. If the chosen electives cannot be accommodated, students will be enrolled in an alternative elective. Please note that student schedules are created over the summer and you will receive your student’s schedule in mid-August 2020.
