Great Kindness Challenge

We are encouraging our learning community to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge January 27-31. All students will receive the challenge cards with kind deeds (below) and will participate in conversation prompts in the cafeteria. Teams will also meet with Mrs. Gorla and Sergeant Mark Stead (Lower Providence Twp. Police) for team meetings about being upstanders and responsible members of the community.

January 22, 2020

Dear Skyview families,

Last evening, the Methacton Board of School Directors approved a change of status for Dr. Gallagher Landis from Assistant Principal at Skyview to Administrator on Assignment in Technology. She will begin this position on January 30, 2020 and serve the district in this capacity until further notice.

I am pleased to share that Ms. Emily Otero was approved as Dean of Students (Teacher On Assignment) for Skyview for this time period. Ms. Otero has served our learning community as both a 6th grade teacher and Math Specialist. In her role as Dean of Students, Ms. Otero will work in collaboration with the Skyview administrative team to continue to meet the needs of our students, address behavioral choices, communicate with families and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment. Plans are underway to secure a substitute to continue math support classes.

Please contact my office with any questions.

Regards,

Mrs. Melissa Gorla
