Comet Nation,

Thank you for a wonderful first semester at Marion L. Steele High School. It has been tremendous to see our students shine in the classrooms, on the athletic fields, and in the performing arts. Thank you, again for your continued support as we are off to another great start to the third grading period.

Tickets will go on sale starting at 9:00 am on Tuesday, January 17th. All tickets will be sold online. Tickets will remain on sale through the start of the dance.

The cost is $30/ticket (plus fees).

No cash sales for tickets.

To enter the Dance, you will need your Ticket QR Code and your Student ID.

Near the bottom of this page you'll see "Have a Passcode?"....Click on this Link
Your passcode is your school ID Number. If you don't know this number, log into your PowerSchool account and it is on your page. If you still can't locate it, please see someone in the Main Office or Mr. Wolf in room 102.
Follow the steps to purchase your ticket

If you would like to purchase the ticket for another Amherst student, please have that student enter their passcode into the ticket site for you. They should not provide you with their student ID number.

If you have an outside guest attending, Mrs. Deulley will give you their passcode to purchase their ticket.

CCP Classes

If you are interested in adding CCP classes for the upcoming second semester, we are scheduling them NOW! Please see your counselor as soon as possible to get enrolled or reach out to your counselor with any questions.

Additionally, the school counseling team will be hosting a CCP meeting the night of conferences, February 16th in the MPR.

Scheduling for the 2023-2024 School Year

Counselors will be meeting with students on the following dates during C-Schedule to discuss scheduling for the 2023-2024 school year. Students will also receive a scheduling course packet at the following times:

1/23/23 - Freshman presentation

1/24/23 - Sophomore presentation

1/25/23 - Junior presentation

Starting the week of 1/30, counselors will meet individually with 9th and 11th grade students to choose their courses for the 2023-2024 school year.

Starting the week of 2/6, counselors will meet individually with the 10th grade students to choose their courses for the 2023-2024 school year.

YEARBOOK INFO

There is still time to preorder a high school yearbook. To order click on this link and choose 2023 Yearbook. If the link does not work, simply go to Jostens.com and search for Marion L. Steele High School. If you think you already ordered a book, please call Jostens at 877.767.5217 and they will look up your name to see if you did or did not preorder. Only students with a pre-ordered book will be guaranteed a copy, so order today to guarantee your book! Yearbooks are completed in June and distributed the following Fall.

There is also still time to order a Senior Recognition Ad that will appear in the yearbook. To order click on this link and choose Yearbook Recognition Ad. Juliana Deremer & Jack Fedan's art work will head to New York City for judging at the National Level!

Juliana’s Gold Key work will be in the Comic art category and Jack Fedan’s Gold Key work will be in the Painting category!

Spring Sports

Spring Sports will be here before you know it! Reminder, you need to have a valid physical on file to try out or to start your spring sport. Please check your Final Forms account to verify your expiration date. If you need to get a physical before your first official day, please contact your medical provider to get an appointment. If you have any questions on your physical status, please see Mr. Wolf or Mrs. Doehr.
