Now Hiring Desk Assistants!!!

Overnight and Weekend Desk Assistants (paid hourly)! Apply now to help greet,swipe and conduct bags checks of residents and guests into our Residence Halls.You can become a part of our team ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. Must have a 2.0 Worcester State GPA and be in good conduct standing at WSU.

Front Desk & Guest Policy Reminders

Front Desk Assistants serve as the front line security in our residence areas. From 5 pm - 9 am Monday - Friday and 24 hours on weekends, Residence Life Front Desk Assistants are stationed at each front desk to swipe residents in. If you are not a resident of the building, you will not be granted access to the space unless you are escorted by a resident of the hall. Any backpack, bag or similar container that anyone carries into the residence hall is subject to inspection and search by a member of the Worcester State University staff.


During the first two weeks of the semester, overnight guests are not permitted.


Except for specially approved programs or circumstances, no guest under 16 years of age will be permitted to be signed into a residence hall without the presence of their parent or guardian. Any guest who is 16 or 17 years old must provide a valid ID and a document indicating date of birth (these may be the same document) and an emergency phone number as well as a completed authorization form for the visit from a parent or guardian. This form is available online for download by visiting the Residence Life and Housing website. University staff may call to confirm authorization for a visit. Underage guests who violate University policies will be required to leave and face parental notification.

Meal Plan Change Request

Student with resident meal plans can change their plans online through the MyHousing Portal. For steps on how to change your meal plan, please watch the video tutorial below.All meal plan changes are due by September 16, 2016 at 5pm. Please allow up-to 72 hours for meal plan changes to occur.


For students with 90 or more credits, you are eligible for a Senior Meal Plan (65 block of meals per semester and $300 dining dollars per semester).
