Message from Principal Jones Harris
October 3- October 7
Greetings Parents,
We have a had a fabulous start of the school year! September was filled with activities to make school not only a place for learning, but also a place to grow friendships and build relationships among our teachers, scholars, and families. I want to thank our parent volunteers for assisting with the events. Together we achieve more.
We had 234 parents participate in our "Bring Your Child to School Day" event! Thank you for the overwhelming response from our fathers and male role models who expressed their interest in helping with our campus beautification projects. Please complete the survey below on how you can assist us with accomplishing our goals.
Scholars showed their school spirit at our PBIS pep rally this past Friday. Teachers reviewed our schoolwide and anti-bullying expectations and scholars competed to show their school spirit with chants and cheers. Each month, we will revisit our schoolwide anti-bullying expectations. In doing so, we will also share resources with our parents about What Bullying is and What Bullying is not. We pride ourselves for having a safe environment where every scholar feels safe and respected. Below you will find our videos on our schoolwide behavior expectations and a video on anti-bullying.
We are now in the month of October. Scholars will participate in recognizing Hispanic Heritage month, Breast Cancer Awareness, Red Ribbon Week, Anti-Bullying Day, and will be allowed to dress as a book character on October 31st. As we prepare for these activities, I want to say thank you again for your continued support and for entrusting your scholars with us. Strong partnerships and informing you on ways to help your scholar will yield a successful school year!
Kindest Regards,
Chief Special Agent,
Mrs. Vachella Jones (Harris)
