Serrano Elementary
Week Thirty-Three - May 16th
A Weekly Staff Bulletin
Hello Eagles!
It is the much anticipated SBAC time for students in grade 3-6 - each day students will be testing for one hour within the timing window provided. I have some support coming from the district and will do my best to be there when you start the first time. Please call or text my cell throughout the day as you need support. 714-616-0778. You have worked so hard to prepare these students for this time and now is their time to shine, or even better, SOAR! I have placed Math tips in your mailbox along with a brightly colored roster of your students. Please track completion of sections and absences on that sheet and turn in at the end of testing, each day to my mailbox.
We also have the Class Act BRAVO this Wednesday at 9a - and are so excited to see the students' representation of Antonio Vivaldi's music and life.
Thanks for all of your hard work and twenty-three instructional days until a very relaxing summer :)
Best,
Ashley

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
There will be a sign-up for teachers for breakfast items and for how many invites you will need in the staff lounge this week. Please fill out the invite count by Friday so the 1st grade team can get them in your mailbox.
During the breakfast there will be a few minutes for each class to come to the breakfast and perform a song/poem/dance/VAPA etc. and provide our volunteers with some special entertainment for the many hours they give to Serrano.
To help decorate the breakfast, we are asking that each class build a centerpiece. This can be simple as a handprint vase to something different and creative. Please let us know if you have questions.
MXL
- MXL Log - Jane has done a GREAT job of tracking our students who attend MXL and for the reason. Please feel free to use the log as evidence in a conference, should you need it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m7NXsKWPtf0X0LDF6AOcWv5Q5MpTU2vvypQmiuT_pq0/edit?usp=sharing
