Welcome to the first edition of the Plano_RDSPD The Talk.

This is a new parent newsletter for the families of students in the Plano Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. We want to keep you updated and informed about the events and happenings for our students and their families. Please take a few minutes to share feedback with us. We need to know what is helpful and useful to your family.

Plano RDSPD May Picnic & Social

Please join us for the Picnic and Social. This will be a time to talk with others and get some ideas for summer fun and learning.

Our Students Have Been Busy

Imagination Celebration

Deaf/Hard of Hearing Artists from around the United States came to Fort Worth for the Twenty-Fifth Anniversay of Imagination Celebration. Twenty-seven Plano RDSPD high school student participated with other students from all over Texas. It was a great weekend of learning, fun, and sharing with others.


Four student from Haggard competed in the Math Contest at NTID/RIT. They learned a lot and had a great time.

Another four secondary students participated in Academic Bowl sponsored by Gallaudet University.

School Begins again on August 24 in Plano ISD
